Event information

Registration 5th of September the latest!

Welcome to the 4th annual Danish White Water Games 2016. This year we’re back at our favourite spot – Lissfors, Dala-Floda, Sweden.

In July, the river was used for the Swedish event, Masters of Water, and we know the place very well from organizing the DWWG at the same spot in 2013 & 2014. The location offers a great logistic setup and a perfect learning environment with an opportunity to create a technical slalom course. If we’re lucky to get enough water we will also go through the famous and technical Fänforsen during the downriver competition.

You can compete in several sports:

  • Rafting (R4)
  • Stand Up Paddle
  • Kayak Open
  • Kayak Yuth
  • C1/OC1 (both closed and open canoes)
  • Freestyle

We will find a winner in each sport and the person who collects the most points across all sports during the event, will be claimed The Great Waterman of DWWG 2016 (Men & Women respectively). NOTE: It is not required to compete in all sports to participate in The Great Waterman competition. As soon as you compete in more than 1 sport you’ll be part of The Great Waterman competition.

The DWWG is also the National Danish Championships and all Danish teams and athletes will be ranked according to their finishing position.

The Danish White Water Games is organized by DSRF and Copenhagen Watersports, however the event is entirely run by volunteers who also compete, so you will be asked to help with different tasks during the event, such as judging, timekeeping, safety (if qualified) etc.

Remember to join the Facebook event as we will use this to publish program and other relevant information before and during the event. If you do have any questions please send an email to: kontaktdsrf(at)gmail.com
